Mr. Jordan Murdock, BJHS Choir Director

Jordan Murdock is the choir director at Bryant Junior High. He graduated from Bryant in 2011 and received a B.A. in Vocal Music Education from Henderson State University in 2015. He haas worked in Crossett and Little Rock Public Schools before receiving his Masters in Educational Leadership from University of Arkansas at Monticello. Jordan frequently performs as a soloist and actor in Central Arkansas having been on stage with WildWood Park for the Performing Arts, Opera in the Rock, The Rep, and The Muses Creative Artistry Project. Mr. Murdock wholeheartedly believe that the Arts serve a vital role in our schools and strives to build students' confidence and teamwork skills through eclectic music choices, performing experiences, and high standards of excellence.
Mrs. Lisa Hatfield, Asst. Director of Choirs

Lisa Hatfield, a devoted music educator of Central Arkansas, is the Assistant Director of Choirs for Bryant Public Schools. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Henderson State University as well as a Master of Science in Instructional Technology and Online Teaching and Learning from University of Central Arkansas.
Mrs. Hatfield taught was the Director of Choirs at Pinnacle View Middle School in Little Rock, AR from 2019 to 2024. During her time at PVMS, Lisa's choirs earned superior and excellent ratings in sight reading and performance assessment and she has placed numerous students in the All-Region, AR-ACDA, and SWACDA honor choirs. Prior to that, she taught elementary music for 3 years in Jacksonville, AR where she was credited for starting an elementary choir.
Mrs. Hatfield has been invited to speak at various state wide and national conferences on topics such as diversity, inclusion, equity, accessibility, and educational technology for the inclusive choral classroom. She was invited to be the guest clinician for the Springdale All-City Honor Chorus as well as Bryant's Inaugural Elementary Honor Choir prior to being hired, and will direct the ArkCDA Region 5 Junior High All Region Treble Choir in Fall 2025. Lisa has worked with ACC Choir Camp for over a decade as a counselor and faculty member. Lisa also serves as the Honor Choir Chair for AR-ACDA.
